WELCOME HOME!
Originally a small community located on the South River 3km west of its current position, Powassan relocated to Genessee Creek when the new (now the CNR) railway went through in the mid 1880’s. The Clark House Museum was originally the second home of pioneer family William Faulkner and Annie Clark. Built circa 1891, this 13 room, two and one-half storey historic building houses two floors of artifacts, photographs, furniture, tools, family and business history from Powassan and the surrounding area. We have many events to educate and entertain you throughout our season, including free guided tours!
Museum open: During the summer months and for special occasions
