South River Festival of the Arts

The South River Festival of the Arts brings Canadian art and culture to the forefront to be enjoyed by all. It occurs on the second weekend of August each year.

The Festival starts on the Thursday evening with the opening ceremony. Following the opening there is a wine and cheese celebration to recognize the current featured poster artist as well as selected local artists.

Friday night there is a themed pub night with live entertainment.

Saturday night is the outdoor concert at Tom Tomson Park featuring top quality musical groups.

Closing out the Festival Sunday evening is a talent contest with cash prizes followed by the closing ceremony and fireworks.

From Thursday to Sunday during the day there are activities for the whole family to enjoy throughout the Village of South River. There are a variety of workshops for adults and children, an art walk, artisans, games and rides for children.
